Help save Apollo’s school outreach programs!
In the last 6 years Apollo, in cooperation with other non profit opera groups, has brought Engelbert Humperdinck’s opera, Hänsel und Gretel, both as complete school performances with costumes, sets and virtual orchestra and 45 minute in-school assemblies to more than 30,000 children in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, with the tightening of funds for schools and lowered funds for classical music events, we find it harder then ever to continue our programs. Help us to continue to bring the wonder of classical music and opera to the children in the schools and concert halls. Please give whatever amount you can afford, every dollar helps! Apollo Educational Touring Opera, Inc. is uniquely dedicated to providing quality operatic, interactive symphonic performances and educational music programs to remote communities and to schools throughout the western United States.

Apollo provides quality orchestral accompaniment for its school assemblies and full-scale staged and costumed performance using the Virtual Orchestra, an interactive, live computerized system which is able to change tempo and tempo and to breathe with the singer. The conductor controls each beat as the orchestral or operatic work is being conducted.

Dietrich Erbelding, founder and music director of Apollo brings a wealth of operatic, conducting, accompanying and teaching experience to Apollo. He is the founder and producer of Pocket Coach Publications which sells coaching materials for classical singers throughout the world.
